Independent music video

The independent music video I am going to be analysing is going to be Jack White's video for his song 'Im Shakin' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvpoiiBW9bc because it is quite interesting the way he is trying to show two sides of him and the band. The video is more performance based rather than narrative as you see a lot of him singing and there is not really a main story trying to be told through the video. The lighting in the video is very dark and mysterious which matches well with the costume as they stand out more under the small lighting inside what looks like a store room or lock up which is bare so this doesn't take your attention away from the artist. i also think as artists they are trying to show different personalities in society with this video with the more emotional characters and then the happier ones. The dancers in the video are often interpreting the lyrics and what is being sung and you can tell this by the way they are moving around and adds more excitment to the video.
