The All American Rejects- Give You Hell
This video by The All American Rejects is a type of narrative music video because the video tells the story of the lyrics. We can tell this because both of the men try to make each other lives hell, hence the lyrics being “when you see my face I hope it gives you hell”. The strengths of this being a narrative video is that not only does it make the viewers interested in the lyrics it also makes them more interested in the video simply because the video has an actual meaning and goes with the lyrics and music. One of the weaknesses of this though is that it can become repetitive because of the lyrics being the same in chorus of the song. After watching this video I have gained inspiration from the video, to base my video around the lyrics to make sure that it tells a story and portrays a certain meaning.
